Tunnel Of Light

This pic was taken while driving through a tunnel on the way to Berlin. I’m not a huge fan of tunnels (this one looked new-ish and safe though with two sections and three lanes each section and many, clearly marked emergency exits).

I played around with a photo app and inverted the colors. And kind of liked the result. If tunnels were that bright inside, they would be less scary, wouldn’t they.

Our hotel in Berlin (“Matzbach“) was basically attached to the “Marheineke Markthalle“, an indoor food market. From the hall where the rooms are, you had this view into the market (it was morning and not many people there yet).

And a restaurant also belongs to the hotel. Allaround a great place with very friendly staff and great food. And they serve Pilsener Urquell from the tap. Something you don’t find that ofden. I couldn’t resist 😍

And this salad served with shredded ox meat in a delicious sauce… to die for. Could only finish a bit more than half of it.

My appetite is still not fully back to normal yet.

And the cough continues to be bad 😞

Lee and his performace made up for it later 😌

Dunno. Obviously wasn’t posted for some reason. Thanks for liking the pic. I thought it looked pretty cool, too. Thought later that saying tunnels are “scary” wasn’t exactly true. They are not really scary… but – especially when they are very long and they only have one section with no ‘barrier’ in the middle to seperate you from the oncoming traffic and they are kind of narrow, I prefer to be through quickly. Heard to many horrible stories about accidents in tunnels. So it’s more a safety issue in the end. But still it’s always nice to see the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ πŸ˜‰
